Equinoxem was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

An idea formed by Matt Tallón that seeks to fuse the goth metal, with differents styles like celtic music, mood music and symphonic metal with some pieces of melodic black metal.

Looking for an own sound and giving special importance to the esoteric and goth lyrics.

The band begins officially since September 21st of 2008, spring equinox for the south hemisphere.
Ashe Alder (vocals) and Nahuel Blade (Bass), with Matt Tallón (guitar/vocals) they formed this project.

In January of 2009, started to record the first Demo/EP called "Noscete Ipsum".

After this period, the band complete his line up with Marina Fortino (keyboard) and Pablo Pompa (drums).

During the 2009, Equinoxem does his first gigs with a more solid sound and giving good effects and interesting reviews by the public about the musical style.

In the end of 2009 and after the last gig of the year, Marina Fortino decided to leave the band for personal decision, but the keyboards will be not empty because Francisco Roldán joined the band to start a new period and new line-up.
During 2010, the band prepares his first full lenght, titled Prophecies of Soul, available to download and released in 2011 on classic CD format in Argentina.



Music is not only a technical-note-sound, further when feelings comes in the game.

The atmosphere of Equinoxem's sound pretends start the transmission of those sensations, create a sucesion of images and landscapes about sorrow, fury, happiness, hope and any soul-mind-state that can be possible to make.

The travel to ancient times and past-lifes, the ones that give us the knowledge about ourselfs.
The music is only the wonderful key.

The Equinoxem word, is the fusion of Equinox, Noctem (from latin "Night") and Nox (from greek "Night"), and the meaning approaches to say: Nocturnal Equinox.

In astrology, the solstices and equinoxes have a deepest meaning, physical and esoteric. In the two cases, are the "birth and death" of the Sun and the seasons.
The pagans based their main ceremonies in these energy change's time.

The lyrics of the band takes differents themes like feelings, sensations, beliefs, and too, esoteric and occult matters.

Esotericism is the deep study of the symbols.

Unlike a sign, a symbol is not only a pictoric image with a representation, a symbol is an open book of knowledge and teachings that makes sense only for those who study it with seriousness and responsibility.

In ancient times only the Initiated-ones had the access for this kind of study. Nowadays any people can know it, but the real knowledge and his aplication is still hidden and reserved for the initiated-ones.

In a few words, the meaning of the Equinoxem's symbol, wich has a lot deep-knowledge, is a fusion of differents figures.

We can say that is integrated by the twelve-rays pagan Sun with his "always refreshing" power of progress, the one who rotates in clockwise and his rotation is infinite.

On this powerful ancient Sun, we can see The Pentacle, a mystic symbol used by Pythagoreans and differents esoteric orders by his deepest power.

Here we see expressed the four elements: earth, fire, air, water and the fifth element or Quintaesencia searched by the alchymists. Is too, the analogy of the human body.

This Magic Star to become in a Pentacle or Pentalpha must be surrounded or enclosed by a circle as meaning to continue protection and regeneration.
